Nurture Dogs

Nurture Dogs sessions combine animal contact and activities with animals with the therapeutic philosophy of Occupational Therapy. Nurture Dogs is an organisation that majors on empowering people, providing choices and opportunities where perhaps these do not currently exist. In school this is delivered through a six week programme of Agility, dog biscuit making, dog toy making, training and tricks and grooming designed for a group of children.  Each individual within the group will have objectives set for them, such as building confidence and raising self-esteem, developing speaking, listening and concentration skills, taking responsibility and working as a team.
Funding for the Nurture Dogs program is often met through our Pupil Premium budget as it enhances opportunities and outcomes for all.
