Aboriginal Art - Awesome Art Week - 4th June - 2018

During Awesome Art Week (4th June 2018), pupils will be learning about Aboriginal Art and the history surrounding the amazing art work produced by indigenous Australians.  Throughout the week, we will be studying Dreamtime, which is the Aboriginal understanding of the world, of it's creation, and it's great stories.  Then we will write our own stories, taking inspiration from the greats.  In addition to this, we will be using the natural environment to inspire and influence our own paintings.

'The Persistence of Memory' by Salvador Dali.
During Awesome Art Week (19th February 2018), pupils will be learning about the artist Salvador Dali and the movement of surrealism.  Throughout the week, we will be writing biographies, studying key influences in his life as well as using his style to inspire and influence our own paintings.
Our topic for the first half of the Spring term is Scintillating Science.
